Large cetaceans of the Pelagos Sanctuary: disentanglement training
Entanglement is a major threat to marine mammals, and can cause injury or death. The training organized by the Pelagos Agreement in cooperation with the IWC and the Coast Guard - Maritime Directorate of Genoa, provided valuable knowledge and skills to participants on how to safely rescue and release entangled marine mammals.
