Call for Executive Secretary: the offer in brief
The Pelagos Agreement for the creation of the Sanctuary for marine mammals in the Mediterranean Sea, born from the cooperation between France, Italy and the Principality of Monaco, is looking for an Executive Secretary to coordinate its activities and manage its permanent Secretariat. The position involves a three-year contract, renewable once, based in Monaco.
The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree and at least five years of experience in public administration, preferably in a responsible role in national or international environmental institutions. An advanced knowledge of Italian and French (level C1) and a good command of English (level B2) is required.
The main responsibilities include managing the Permanent Secretariat, administering the budget and coordinating the institutional activities of the Agreement. The Executive Secretary will also have to represent the Pelagos Agreement internationally and provide technical and logistical support to the decision-making bodies.
Call for Executive Secretary: sending applications
Applications must be submitted by 3 March 2025 by sending a letter of motivation, a CV in Europass format and a short strategic vision (maximum 300 characters) to cfavilli@pelagossanctuary.org. Interviews will be held in April 2025 at the official headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat in Monaco.
