Considering the presence of a great diversity and density of marine mammals in the northwestern Mediterranean
Considering the presence of the Pelagos Sanctuary, established in 1999 through the international Agreement signed by Italy, Monaco, and France for the protection of marine mammals and their habitat,
Considering the importance of promoting sustainable activities in all fields, especially in the touristic and economic sectors,
Considering the importance of preserving environmental, landscape and biological quality in the present and in the future,
Considering the expressed willingness of recreational boat owners to take positive actions in favor of marine mammal conservation,

I pay attention to signs of disturbance shown by marine mammals when observing them.

I respect the areas and approach distances to cetaceans.

I apply the ACCOBAMS/Pelagos code of good conduct.

I declare that I share the objectives of the Sanctuary as stated in the founding Agreement.

I commit to promote the principles and objectives of the Agreement when navigating in the Sanctuary.
