In 2024 we celebrate 10 years of High Quality Whale Watching®!
In 2004, the HQWW® certification, developed by the Pelagos and ACCOBAMS Agreements, was registered.
This certifation aims to raise awareness among whale watching operators to carry out their activities in an environmentally friendly manner and to foster the sharing of good practices and know-how to protect the marine ecosystem.
The HQWW® ensures that whale-watching activities are conducted in line with an ecological approach so to avoid negatively affecting cetaceans observed.
Application for HQWW® is voluntary.
