Signing of a MoU between the RAMOGE and the Pelagos Agreements

On Friday 22 March 2024, at the close of Monaco Ocean Week, the Secretariats of the RAMOGE Agreement and the Pelagos Agreement officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding which sets the basis for closer cooperation between two Agreements that share, among other, complementary objectives and the same Contracting Parties.

The ceremony took place in the large conference room of the Oceanographic Museum, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and the French and Italian Ambassadors in Monaco, H.E. Jean D’Haussonville and H.E. Giulio Alaimo.

This cooperation aims to establish the principles of active collaboration between the two Agreements. It will facilitate the exchange and sharing of information while encouraging the implementation of joint activities aimed at preserving marine mammals and their habitats.
